What is a Natural Chalk Artisan Paint?

It's a specialty decorative paint, designated and created for the artisan in you. You can use our special formula on furniture and walls, use one color or layer colors, it's a water based with very zero odor, has zero volatile organic compounds (VOC's)  Our special formula has a chalky matte finish, and has an amazing coverage with two coats.

No priming or sanding needed. This natural chalk artisan paint will stick to most surfaces. It's so easy to use, you can revitalize, upcycle, and refinish furniture like a Pro!

It's easy to distress for a shabby look, to seal our paint we recommend a furniture wax. But it can be sealed with polycrylic, polyurethane, or lacquer. You can use glaze too! If you want the paint thicker, leave the can open until desired consistency. Or add a little water to use as a wash. We recommend using a bristle brush, to achieve amazing texture but depending on the technique you want to achieve, a sponge brush, roller or paint sprayer can be used. Our paint is Made in U.S.A.

Note: We do NOT add Plaster of Paris, baking soda or grout to an existing paint. It's not a chalkboard paint. Our paint it's made of pure natural chalk & natural pigments, It's not an acrylic or latex paint.

A few tips:

Shake well and prepare your surface, proper prep is essential, it will save you time and money. Clean your surface with warm water and soap or, TSP Trisodium Phosphate, scrub to get rid of dust and grease.  If your piece is bleeding thru, stop and do a coat of Zinger Shellac, that will block the wood tannis bleeding. For best adhesion on laminate, a spray primer is recommended. If you are painting kitchen cabinets, prep your surface (mineral spirits are the preferred method of many Pros) and use spray Shellac, if they are old, it will prevent the wood tannis bleeding. If they are new skip this step and then use two coats.  Use your preferred sealing method.
